I am the proud owner and cake designer in my home based bakery Dillylane Cake Design, situated in the beautiful countryside of north county Kilkenny.

 

From a young age, I always had a keen interest in baking and cake decorating with my Mam and Granny. However it was only when my nephew was born in 2009 that I started making themed birthday cakes which led to more and more cakes for family and friends.

Despite having enjoyed working in the IT sector in Dublin for a number of years, I rediscovered my passion and love for all things cake and decided to pursue my dream of starting my own business, and so Dillylane Cake Design was born.

​

So where did the name 'Dillylane' come from? Dilly is a nickname which my late Granny used to fondly call me. And 'lane' is a nostalgic nod to my move home to Kilkenny from Dublin, back to the lane where I Iearned everything about baking and where it all began.

​

I am a keen student always wanting to learn more! I have taken classes with leading Irish cake designers and I continue to enhance my skills through online courses and self-taught techniques. All my cakes are freshly made from scratch using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. I strive to make every cake a work of art, with attention to detail in every aspect whilst always providing excellent customer service. Dillylane Cake Design is fully registered and approved by the HSE.
